Kielder Observatory

Gov Cross - Story Teller
Tue 11 Oct 2022Gov Cross, a professional story teller, visited school this week to retell classic stories to the children. His charisma, enthusiasm and warm manner brought the story telling to life. The children were able to join in with Gav to encourage their own story telling. We hope that this experience will inspire the children's writing skills in their future work.

Supporting Climate Change
Wed 21 Sep 2022We have recently welcomed Suez and Northumbrian Water into school to do workshops with the children on how their daily habits can affect the climate change emergency and plastic pollution problems we are facing. They were reminded of small but significant changes they can make in their day to day lives to help make that important difference.

Year 6 Leavers
Tue 19 Jul 2022We are very sad to say goodbye to this years Year 6 children. They have had a brilliant time celebrating all their hard work since starting Seahouses Primary with their end of school party at the Plough in Alnwick with their fellow Year 6 leavers from the other local primary schools. We wish them all the luck on their journey at The Duchess High School in September.

STEM Fest Year 5 & 6
Wed 06 Jul 2022The Year 5 and 6 children enjoyed a visit to St James Park to explore the range of future job opportunities with regards to Net Zero that can be available to them in the North East. They were able to enjoy a range of workshops and activities during the event.

Sports Day
Fri 01 Jul 2022With thanks to the staff and Scott from Newcastle United Foundation, we enjoyed a packed sports day. We challenged the children in all areas of physical abilities and finished with some sprints and photo finishes. Well done to everyone who took part, including the parents!

Year 5 Surfing
Fri 24 Jun 2022Year 5 enjoyed the annual trip to the beach with Sally from NE Surfing to learn some surfing skills. Luckily the weather was good enough to ride some great waves.
