May 2026 Northumbria Police Visit

Today, we were visited by the Northumbria Police. Our Year 5 and 6 students took part in very important workshops around consent and internet safety. Within the workshops they explored laws and rules, whilst also discussing different scenarios that they may be faced with and how they could avoid/react to these situations. Within the sessions, the pupils were also able to share concerns/worries and also ask questions about anything they were unsure about. It was also a wonderful opportunity to work collaboratively in groups to address these very important topics. The students were incredibly inquisitive and contributed some very mature and responsible ideas to the discussions. It was wonderful to see how confident the children were when sharing their views and how empowered they felt throughout. Well done Year 5 and 6.
