Pages of the Sea
On 11 November 2018, tens of thousands gathered on beaches to say goodbye and thank you, to the millions of men and women who left their shores during the First World War, many never to return.
During this time of remembrance people took part in community projects discovering their local history, and different beaches personalised their own event, with activities including singing, kite-flying, stone painting, candles and lanterns.
Within school we wrote letters and made origami envelopes which where then used in the Pages of the Sea event that took placed on our local beach.
