Today is National Superhero Day honouring all heroes, whether they are real or fictional. we have been learning about what it means to be a hero.

  • Earth Day 2021

    Fri 23 Apr 2021

Key Stage 1 have been thinking and learning about Earth day. We discussed how our actions can harm our planet and that we are lucky to have such a beautiful planet. The children shared their ideas of how people can harm our planet. We decided to make a positive difference to our planet by doing a litter pick in our local area. We discussed the impact of litter on our planet and the animals that live on our planet. The children were so thoughtful and had a good understanding. We were saddened by the amount of litter, but we did our best to leave the green and park on James street looking tidy and also some of the surrounding streets.
Well done everyone, a great team effort by all!

  • Wellbeing Wednesdays - Easter Holiday

    Wed 21 Apr 2021

Our Wellbeing Wednesday Club that ran in the Easter Holiday was a huge success, we had nearly the whole school turn up to spend time with their friends. The first Wednesday we managed to spend lots of time outdoors playing games because the weather was beautiful. The change in weather from the second week didn’t stop the fun however, we were able to use our brand new badminton and tennis nets and our brand new boxing equipment!

We had a busy first week back at school. ‘Topic Burst Presentations’ were prepared based on some of the lockdown learning. Everyone shared their learning with each other and created the presentations that everyone then went on to present to Mrs Allen. Mrs Allen was very impressed with the knowledge of the Great Fire of London, the understanding of electricity, the historical knowledge of Seahouses and the Mayan civilisation along with the scientific knowledge of flowering plants.
