08.05.24 Come Dine & Read With Me
We were delighted to welcome parents and grandparents from Year 3 and 4 into school today to take part in our ‘Come Dine and Read with Me’ event. We talked about how we teach reading at Seahouses and the positive impact it can have on both a child’s academic success, and their emotional wellbeing. After this, we had a lovely lunch prepared by Miss Hepple, followed by some time together in our fabulous library. It was lovely to see our school community coming together to celebrate the joy of reading and the smiles on both the parents' and the children's faces as they immersed themselves in books and shared stories were priceless.
