08.05.26 Sir David Attenborough's 100th Birthday

Under the vast, open skies of the Northumberland coast, the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 marked a momentous milestone today by dedicating their Fresh Air Friday to the legendary Sir David Attenborough in honour of his 100th birthday.

To celebrate a century of conservation, the children collaborated to construct a massive, artistic "100" crafted entirely from natural treasures found along the tideline.

Channeling their inner naturalists, they then spent the rest of the morning "getting up close and personal" with the inhabitants of the rockpools, observing the delicate coastal ecosystem with the same curiosity and reverence Sir David has championed for decades.
