21.02.25 Space Rocks!
Class 3 thoroughly enjoyed their 'Space Rocks!' workshop with Adam from the Kielder Observatory. We learned about asteroids, meteors and meteorites and the differences between them. We discovered more about the largest meteorites ever to have landed on Earth and why they appear as 'shooting stars'. We were able to touch and examine a wide variety of space rocks including meteorites from The Moon and Mars!
