Open the book has returned!
Tue 15 Mar 2022We are delighted to welcome our friends from Open the Book back in to school this week. They dove straight back in to retelling stories from the bible to the KS1 children who enjoyed getting hands on with the storytelling experience. Here's to many more visits in the future.

Music Workshop
Fri 11 Mar 2022The year 5 and 6 pupils had a great opportunity to participate in a Highlights Participation Programme folk music workshop. Maddie Morris brought a variety of different instruments into school for the children to have a go with. The children even taught Maddie their favourite sea shanty song which she said she will use in her future workshops as she loved it so much!

Ukrainian donations
Fri 04 Mar 2022A huge thank you to everyone who has sent in their kind donations for the Ukrainian families. We have been able to forward these onto their final destination. Mrs Skibikca has also taken some lovely handwritten letters by the children to go along with the donations.

Safer Internet day
Fri 18 Feb 2022Learning how to be safe online is embedded in our curriculum and this year's theme is "Together for a better internet".
The children fully engaged with all the workshops and enjoyed learning how to keep themselves safer online.

Children's Mental Health Week
Fri 18 Feb 2022This year's children's mental health awareness week has been full of learning about why it is invaluable to look after our own mental wellbeing and not just our physical wellbeing.
Each class had different workshops and mindfulness time, which is embedded in our curriculum, to understand how to be present in the moment, to recognise their own growth, how we grow physically and mentally and how using the outdoors can help towards our mental wellbeing.

Barter Books Visit
Thu 17 Feb 2022This half terms lucky VIR's ( Very Important Reader's) enjoyed their rather soggy trip to Barter Books in Alnwick. However, the rain didn't stop them enjoying an ice cream after choosing their new book from our Barter Books school account. They couldn't put them down, even on the bus on the way back to school. Well done everyone for your enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to reading.

Christmas Gifts
Fri 17 Dec 2021The children received a lovely gift from Santa today, unfortunately due to local COVID regulations he could not visit in person, however the children's faces were still a picture.

Panto at The Maltings
Thu 16 Dec 2021The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip to The Maltings at Berwick today to see 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'.
They were all treated to some sweets and chocolate to enjoy during the private performance. We are very thankful to the staff at The Maltings for allowing this to go ahead.

What a festive feast!
Wed 15 Dec 2021A huge thank you to Mrs. Swan and Miss Hepple for cooking over 100 amazing Christmas dinners for Busy Bees nursery, Seahouses Primary School children and all the staff, who wore their Christmas jumpers to school for the occasion.

Barter Books VIR's
Tue 14 Dec 2021Our latest VIR's (Very Important Reader's) were chosen at random again this half term. They enjoyed having a look around and choosing a book of their choice from Barter Books in Alnwick and received an ice cream as a reward for their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment in the reading raffle challenge.
