Oxford Owl - New Collection
Thu 04 Jan 2018Time and time again, research shows that learning to read and to love to read is directly linked to children's success at school and beyond. At Seahouses we constantly strive to encourage reading and find ways to allow all children to find ways to enjoy reading. To kick start our new term we have a brand new collection of books that children will be able to take home and share with the family.

Society cannot function without devices such as televisions, mobile phones and computers. Employment in the digital sector continues to grow and exciting developments occur at such a fast pace. To ensure our curriculum reflects such progress at Seahouses we have chosen to move with the times!
What could be more exciting than bringing a volcano into class or exploring the surface of mars?

Seahouses Primary School Choir - Northumberland Gazette
Sat 23 Dec 2017We are so proud of our newly formed choir at Seahouses, they have worked extremely hard over the Christmas period taking lead rolls in the Christmas extravaganza, performing at the local Co-op, singing at the Christmas lights switch on and being filmed for the Northumberland Gazette.

A Christmas Carol
Sat 23 Dec 2017Well done to Miss Cole's drama group who finished off a busy week of Christmas performances with their own performance of 'A Christmas Carol'. The children worked hard over the last term practising during their after school club. -
Christmas - 2017
Fri 15 Dec 2017Once again we were overwhelmed with the support we received for our Christmas Fayre. It was lovely to see everyone come together for the first time in our new building.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the local business's in the area for their kind donations of raffle prizes. We have over 40 amazing prizes that have been shared between our Fayre and our Coral Extravaganza. We would also like to thank the people who contributed to our stalls and the ladies who came and helped us run all of our stalls, we really couldn't have done it without you!
Keep checking the news to find out the grand total raised, we will also be posting raffle ticket numbers on the website, please check your numbers and come and pick up your prizes from Laurie in the office!

Raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust
Tue 21 Nov 2017At Seahouses we have been raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust.
"Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’

We had a very special visitor in school today, Miss Cole's very own sister Becky Cole, Becky came into help us understand a bit more about the charity and the service that the charity provides. Becky has recently had a battle with cancer and benefited from the charity and she was able to share her stories and answer all of our questions.

Anti Bullying Week 2017
Tue 14 Nov 2017Today we have been introduced to the new theme for this years anti bullying campaign 'All Different, All Equal!' Mrs Keenan lead an assembly where we talked about what makes us unique individuals. We noticed that everyone had different answers. We also talked about the importance of choosing words carefully. Mrs Keenan cleverly demonstrated with toothpaste how words stick. We worked out that once we say something it is very hard to take those words back, just like putting toothpaste back in the tube. -
Poetry Week - 2017
Fri 10 Nov 2017We all worked extremely hard this week in class writing and performing our own poetry pieces. Class 2 learned a poem about a school teacher called Mrs Butler but put a new twist on it. Class 3 and 4 took on poetry in the form of rap. Class 3 cleverly explained all about their river studies and Class 4 delivered messages based on what they had learned about food and their origins.
