Life Science workshop 28th March 2025
Today, Year 5 and 6 were lucky enough to take part in a workshop run by Life Science about flooding. We split into groups and made either a flood barrier from natural materials or a flood barrier from a mixture of natural and man-made materials. The other groups made a rescue vessel for the flood victims to escape on. We thought about which materials were best to use and everyone worked really well together. We also had a challenge to think of the items we would most need if our home was flooded and in groups we had to go and get the items. We realised at the end of this that it would be better to have a group of items in the same place just in case we needed them.
