21.03.25 Science Club Earthquakes

In Class 3, we had a thrilling time in our final workshop with the Life Centre Science Club, and this session was all about earthquakes! We kicked things off by discussing what essential items we would need in our very own earthquake survival kit. It was fascinating to see the creativity and thoughtfulness of the students as they shared their ideas.

The main event came next, where we split into teams to design and build our very own earthquake-resistant houses. This was no easy task, but it certainly sparked some competitive spirit! After working collaboratively, we were excited to put our creations to the test on the earthquake boards. Watching our structures shake was equally nerve-wracking and entertaining!

The challenge didn't stop there. For those teams that successfully built a one-storey house, we upped the ante with two and then three-storey structures. The teamwork on display was brilliant, and everyone really embraced the challenge. It was all great fun and a wonderful opportunity to develop our collaboration skills. A massive thank you to the Life Centre Science Club for such an engaging experience!
