14.03.25 Science Workshop

We loved welcoming parents and carers in today for a science workshop.

KS1 started their session with the story: The mole who knew it was none of his business.

The children have previously been learning about omnivores, herbivores and carnivores. It was their job to use this knowledge and explore different poos to identify if they had come from an omnivore, herbivore or carnivore. The children found things such as grass, berries, seeds, flies etc which helped them to classify the poos.

In Early years there were lots of experiments set out to be explored. We had dancing raisins, magic milk, skittle rainbows, blowing balloons up without a single breath and fireworks in a glass jar. It was lovely to hear lots of scientific discussions between the children and their adults.
