14.03.25 Science Club Volcanoes
Our second session with the Life Centre Science Club was an absolute blast, as we dived headfirst into the thrilling world of volcanoes!
We kicked things off by examining the materials that make up soil. Next, we investigated different types of rocks, conducting some fascinating tests like the fizz test, scratch test, and permeability test. These hands-on experiments really brought our learning to life!
With our newfound knowledge, we embarked on the main event: creating our very own volcanoes! After each exciting eruption, we built a layer of rock using playdoh, demonstrating how lava hardens over time.
After we had created several eruptions we used straws to observe the layers of rock, showcasing how volcanoes build up gradually. It was a great time filled with fun and interactive learning.
We can’t wait for the next club and more scientific adventures ahead!
