10.02.26 Safer Internet Day
This week, we celebrated Safer Internet Day 2026. This year's theme, ‘Smart tech, safe choices – Exploring the safe and responsible use of AI,’ focuses on teaching children the skills to use AI technology safely and responsibly.
We learned that even though AI has lots of positive uses, sometimes it can be used in the wrong way and this can be harmful.
We played a game called 'Okay, Not Okay'. This activity explored different uses of AI and whether each particular use was okay or not.
We then went on to revisit our SMART rules which help to keep us safe online. We created our own online safety posters using CANVA.
