  • International Peace Day

    Thu 21 Sep 2017
Today we celebrated International Peace day. We talked about conflict and how we resolve conflict. We looked at global citizenship and talked about the ways that our actions impact and influence the world we live in. We discussed different values and practices as well as human rights. We came up with lots of ideas that we shared in a whole school assembly and then each class did different activities based around the topic.
  • Year 2 & 3 visit Paxton House

    Tue 19 Sep 2017

Year 2 and 3 are currently studying the Victorians. To kick start our learning for this new term we visited Paxton House. We spent the day as Victorian Servants finding out about the different jobs and what these jobs entailed. During the tour of the house we were able to explore a Victorian kitchen where we were able to compare and contrast items from modern times. After exploring the house we were able to experience school life in the Victorian times as well as discovering Victorian toys and games.

We had a fantastic day and would like to say a big thank you to our parent helpers on the trip. We would also like to thank Hermione Hoffmann from Paxton House who organised and planned our day. It was a brilliant start to our topic and we are all very excited to find out more.

  • Celebrating Roald Dahl 2017

    Wed 13 Sep 2017

We were very excited today to have our very first school celebration on our new site. We have been celebrating the life and works of Roald Dahl, one of Seahouses favourite authors. We came to school dressed in our Pyjamas and wearing our slippers so we could get cosy and share our much-loved stories. At the end of the day we also had hot chocolate just like you would find in Willy Wonka’s chocolate river!

“Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world.”

    (Roald Dahl – Matilda)

Take a look at some of the pictures from today including Reception and Year 1's magic fingers, Year 2/3's edible wallpaper, Year 4/5's Giraffe and the Pelly and me teamwork  and Year 6's 'Boy' tales of childhood.
