VIP visit from the keepers of Bamburgh Castle

How lucky we are!

Another VIP visitor arrived in school this week to meet our marvellous year 3/4 children and hear all about their recent learning relating to Bamburgh Castle.

Francis and Claire Watson-Armstrong were delighted to lead a special Q&A session with the children and could not believe the extent of their knowledge. Our learners even took the opportunity to teach Francis and Claire some interesting facts about castles in Northumberland! 

Francis said; "We thoroughly enjoyed meeting the young people at Seahouses primary school who are the next generation to enjoy visiting the Castle and having it as part of their community as fellow Northumbrians. My wife and I were exceptionally impressed by their knowledge of Bamburgh Castle and its place in history. It made us both very proud to see how much Bamburgh means to these young people. We were delighted to come and meet with them and answer their questions and look forward to welcoming them back to the Castle soon.”
