  • Sugar Assembly!

    Fri 13 Jan 2017
We had a very interesting assembly this morning with Mrs Allen. We were discussing sugar and healthy eating. Using the 'Change4Life' sugar smart app we found out some shocking results. We found out that a 30g bowl of Coco Pops has 3 cubes of sugar in it and a bottle of coke has 13 cubes of sugar hidden inside! The children are all very excited to test out this free app this weekend on products in their cupboards, you just scan the bar code!
  • A surprising find for the RNLI

    Thu 12 Jan 2017

This week Class 3 had a special visit from Leeanne and Rachel from our local RNLI lifeboat crew. They had found something suspicious that they wanted to share with us. The crew had been terrified at their discovery having recently read the Iron Man story. Leeanne was kind enough to remember that class 3 have also been reading this story so decided to share this suspicious find with us. Take a look at some of the pictures to find out a bit more.

We would like to thank Leeanne and the rest of the team at the RNLI for all their enthusiasm and support, we really appreciate it.

    Mon 09 Jan 2017
A new term brings new topics at Seahouses. The children have had some exciting introductions to their learning. In Class 2 the year 1 and 2 children had a cosy afternoon watching Frozen Planet whilst drinking hot chocolate. Over the Christmas holidays a strange looking tree grew in the Year 3/4 classroom for the start of their new Iron Man topic. and Year 5 were starstruck as they entered the 'Inspirational Hall of Fame' to uncover facts and information about 'Heroes throughout history' that have impacted on our lives today.
  • Christmas Celebrations

    Tue 03 Jan 2017

We had an extremely busy last few weeks in school before we broke up for the Christmas holidays. The festive season started with our Christmas fayre, we were overwhelmed with the support we had with attendance, prizes, crafts etc. We can't thank everyone enough; we were able to raise an amazing £1,772. Following on from our fayre we had our special Curriculum event, another amazingly successful day. The children worked really hard and became the teachers for the afternoon and showed parents around the school explaining what learning had been taken place throughout the term. We ended 2016 on a high with our Christmas performance that was received with rave reviews from parents and families who came to watch. We also had a fantastic Christmas dinner, Christmas party and because we all worked so hard we had a surprise visit from Santa!! Take a look at some of the pictures to remind you of our busy month of December.
