  • Sports Day 2023

    Fri 30 Jun 2023

Thank you so much to so many of you attending our Sport’s Day. The day was a great success and the Yellow team came out as the team winners! Well done to everyone who took part (including the parents). The importance of a varied range of skilled events, such as the hoppers, egg and spoon and the howler, prove that speed isn’t always the most important aspect of sport. Thank you to Owen from Newcastle United Foundation for his sporting expertise in preparing the children for their sports day events. Also, a great big thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets - we raised an amazing £147 towards our school funds.

  • Year 5 Surfing

    Wed 28 Jun 2023

Year 5 pupils joined in the annual surf school with Sally and Harry from Surf Northumberland. They all learned vital sea safety and water skills, whilst enjoying surfing the waves. Having skills such as these are a vital part of life living by the coast and we are thrilled Sally can offer her expertise to support us in this area. Thank you Surf Northumberland!

  • EYFS and KS1 Harvest

    Mon 26 Jun 2023

Early Years and KS1 children have enjoyed harvesting our freshly picked potatoes and chives that have been growing in our school planters. Many of the children loved them and were asking for more. Children across school have also been enjoying radishes that we have grown. It was all served as part of our salad bar at lunch time. Well done to our mini, green fingered pupils!

  • The Maltings - Frozen Jnr

    Sat 24 Jun 2023

Some of our KS1 children visited The Maltings, Berwick youth Theatre Production of Frozen. The children were amazed to see children, some only slightly older than them, on the stage performing in the classic tale. One child even said ”I wish I could see this every day!” A big thank you to Mrs Neale and Miss Robinson for giving up their Saturday to take them. Once again, visits like these are vital when living rurally to give children the opportunity to see shows on a bigger scale.

  • Year 6 Leavers Hoodies

    Mon 05 Jun 2023

Don't our Year 6's look smart in their new leavers hoodies?

They are the most anticipated part of their final weeks at Primary School. They will enjoy wearing them as part of their uniform for the final weeks and to their upcoming trip to London.

  • Year 5 Dodgeball Tournament

    Thu 25 May 2023

Our Year 5’s took part in a dodgeball festival held at Willowburn Leisure Centre. The focus of the festival was on participating, having fun and developing skills both physically and socially, rather than winning or losing. Our teams made us proud!

  • Farne Island Trip

    Wed 24 May 2023

We would like to thank Rachel and William from Billy Shiels Farne Island Boat Trips for allowing the trip to the Farne Islands to take place. The children saw grey seals, puffins, guillemots and many more seabirds as well as the Longstone Lighthouse. They had a brilliant time and luckily the weather was perfect for a morning at sea!

  • Year 6 Football Tournament

    Tue 23 May 2023

As we work closely with the Newcastle United Foundation, we were given the opportunity to attend a football tournament at St Michael's Primary in Alnwick. Our Year 6’s wanted to jump at the chance o showcase their talents. Therefore, instead of visiting St James Park, they were offered the chance to represent Seahouses Primary at the event. They made us so proud by winning every game they played!

  • St James Park Visit

    Tue 23 May 2023

Here at Seahouses Primary we have been working in partnership with the Newcastle United Foundation closely for many years now and were excited when we had the opportunity to take the Year 5 and 6 pupils to St James Park in Newcastle for a stadium tour and then went on to visit the training facility that Newcastle United use themselves. We pride ourselves on the fact that we can offer these experiences to the children, who thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
