Alnwick Castle October 2019
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had an amazing time at Alnwick Castle. We took part in two exciting workshops. In our story telling workshop, we learned all about Sir Henry Percy and discovered how he earned his nickname Harry Hotspur and his reputation as a fearless knight. In our second workshop, castle life in the past was brought to life when we met Constable Katherine (our guide), Sir Melvyn (the courageous knight), Artisan Mel (a tile maker) and Lady Percy (the owner of Alnwick Castle). We really enjoyed our tour of the castle and were amazed at the beauty and splendour of the state rooms. We learned so much in one day!
